Spanish Grand Prix!
Sebastian Vettel has won his 2nd Grand Prix in a row, with a victory in the Spanish Grand Prix. The 23 year old, started second on the grid behind fellow Red Bull team mate Mark Webber.
Vettel held off Lewis Hamilton in the 66 lap race, with a thrilling win over Lewis Hamilton. "I am happy with that, so happy" said Vettel after the race. Vettel was only leading by half a second coming to the closing stages of the race, but managed to hold on for a great race win. Vettel extended his championship lead, to 41 points over Hamilton with the F1 championship approaching the half-way mark. Team Red Bull has a commanding lead over the rest of the competition.

Australia's own Mark Webber after starting in poll position, could only manage 4th. This almost ends Webber's hopes of winning the 2011 Formula One driving championship.

ReplyDeleteThe Red Bull and McLaren are unfortunately much faster than Ferrari at this point. Great race from Alonso but his car was so slow that the 5th place looks like a win. I hope we see some improvements soon :(

ReplyDeleteYeah it was an exciting race. I was hoping that Hamilton would have taken Vettel though - he was less than .1s behind at some points.

ReplyDeleteI never really got into the grand prix. I just to watch it a lot with my dad when I was younger but it was just always something that was on in the background.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah Lesha has a point there. Im not fond of people getting hurt or killed but 20 50 80 Laps seeing the cars go round and round tends to get repetitive and boring.
