36 - Dallas Mavericks

Post no. 36 here:
Dallas Mavericks are the 2011 NBA champions.

My last recap the series were tied at 2-2, with 1 more home game for Dallas followed by 2 more for Miami. Dallas did not look back winning the next two and claiming their 1st franchise championship.

Game 5:
Dallas' last home game, and the winner would take the lead in the series. The game was close until the closing stages of the last quarter with Dallas ending the game with a 17-4 run winning the game 112-103. Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points with help coming from Jason Terry who scored 21 points. Lebron performed better ending the game with a triple-double but that was not enough to win the game.

Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks squash LeBron James and the Miami Heat, shocking the NBA by taking the championship in South Beach in Game 6 Sunday night.
Finally for Dirk, winning his first championship. Lebron can only look on

Game 6:
Back to Miami for two games if needed, Dallas leads the series 3-2 and is looking to close out the series at Miami. Jason Terry was the stand-out for Dallas coming off the bench to score 27 points and Nowitzki added 21. For Lebron James he has to wait another year before he can win his first championship. The final score 105-95, and Dallas has finally won their first championship.

Nowtizki was also voted the Finals MVP!

Joke of the Day:
Q. Why do ghouls and demons hang out together?

A. Because demons are a ghoul's best friend

  17. Sad to see the Heat lost, but they were outplayed.

  18. The Heat lacked passion to be honest. You'd think with 3 super stars and a bunch of players chasing a ring would be able to turn on the heat when it matters most. The Heat were just outclassed the entire game. Only reason it was close was that the Heat made as many free throws as the Mavs attempted.
