59 - Tour de France stage 11

Post no. 59 here:
Mark Cavendish wins his 3rd stage of the 2011 Tour, and his 18th career stage win.

Frenchman Thomas Voeckler, of Europcar, retained the yellow jersey after the 167.5km stage from Blaye-les-Mines to Lavaur, which ended in a group sprint after an early breakaway was caught 4km from the finish. Cavendish claimed the Green sprinter's jersey, which tallies points over the whole Tour for the most dominant sprinter.

"It's incredible to have the green jersey, it's the most beautiful jersey in the world, I have to thank my team-mates for the work they did today, even the guys who are in the top ten overall gave it one hundred percent and that shows what a great team we are." said Cavendish

This was the last sprint stage for a while, with the race heading into the mountains where the real race will begin for the yellow jersey.
